DISTORTION OF THE TRUTH
of a draft report by the Commission for Crimes Committed by the Nazis in Kiev
from February 1944. The page shows changes made by G.F. Aleksandrov, head
of the Propaganda and Agitation Department of the Party's Central Committee.
Where the report named the Jewish population as victims of brutal extermination,
the new version speaks of "peaceful Soviet citizens." These corrections
show that the official concealment of the anti-Jewish nature of the Holocaust
had already begun during the war.
