One year on Yom Kippur, the holy Rebbe Levi Yitzchak of Berditchev, zy"a, was shown that his days were drawing to an end. He prayed to G-d, "Please, don't take me away before Sukkos, I just want to have another opportunity to take the lulav and esrog before You!" - (R' Levi Yitzchak always loved that mitzvah, to the point that once he was chased out of his house by some trouble makers, and all he thought to grab were his lulav and esrog.) Indeed his request was granted, and he put his entire heart and soul into that mitzvah that year, and he returned his soul to his Maker two days after Simchas Torah. |
