Aleksandrov, head of the Propaganda and Agitation Department of the Party’s Central Committee. Where the report named the Jewish population as victims of brutal extermination, the new version speaks of “peaceful Soviet citizens.” These corrections show that the official concealment of the anti-Jewish nature of the Holocaust had already begun during the war.
